When Are Your Classes Offered?
We have 3 recreational sessions each year.
- September – December
- January – March
- April – June
When Can I Register For Each Session?
We hold registrations in August for our session starting in September, November/December for our sessions starting in January, and March for our session starting in April.
Do You Have A Minimum Age Requirement Or Red Cross Swimming Level For Learn To Dive?
No, that being said we usually find that children 5 and up will enjoy the program the most. They must be able to swim confidently from the bottom of the diving board to the edge of the pool. We also offer a new program for 4-5 year olds called Dive Guppies where PFD’s may be used if necessary.
My Athlete Is New To The Sport, Which Class Should I Register Them For?
We generally start all new divers, regardless of age, in the Learn to Dive program. After one session the coach will give the a recommendation as to where they see your son/daughter best fitting into our program. If your child has previously been involved in a competitive sport such as gymnastics please contact us for an assessment as your child may be a good fit for our Junior Development program.
What is the cost of each session?
Program fees vary depending on the session and program level. Detailed pricing information is available on our Registration page.
Where are classes held?
Our programs are conducted at two primary facilities in Saskatoon: the Shaw Centre and the Harry Bailey Aquatic Centre.
What should my diver bring to class?
Participants should bring a swimsuit, towel, and water bottle. For safety reasons, long hair should be tied back, and jewelry should be removed.
Are there programs available for adults?
Yes, we offer Adult Learn-to-Dive classes for individuals aged 16 and over. These classes are designed for beginners and those looking to improve their diving skills.
Is there a trial class available before committing to a session?
We occasionally offer trial classes or open houses. Please check our News page or contact us directly for upcoming opportunities.
What is the progression path for divers in your programs?
Divers typically start in our Learn-to-Dive program. Based on skill development and coach recommendations, they may progress to Pre-Competitive, Junior Development, and eventually Competitive programs.
Are there fundraising requirements for families?
Yes, as a non-profit organization, we rely on fundraising activities such as bingos to support our programs. Families are encouraged to participate in these events.
What is your refund policy?
Our refund policy is outlined in our club policies. Generally, refunds are considered on a case-by-case basis and may be subject to administrative fees.
