Diving isn’t just about competitions. Many people dive because they find it fun, a great way to stay in shape, or because they love the community element. We offer recreational diving programs designed to teach recreational diving skills to people of all ages. There is no commitment to compete and no fundraising requirements. The recreational program is designed to be exclusively just for fun.
Our Recreational Program runs 8 – 12 weeks depending on pool availability. We strive to meet each diver where they are at and the coaches will teach accordingly. Group lessons are typically limited to approximately 7 participants to ensure the instructors have adequate time with all divers.
Dive Guppies (age 4-5)
45 minutes x 1 session /week
Dive Guppies aims to provide acquisition of basic diving skills. Divers will spend 30 mins in dryland and 15 mins on pool deck. The pace of learning happens according to the needs and abilities of each individual child. This is a great way to introduce your child to the sport of diving.
Learn to Dive (age 5-15)
45 minutes x 1 session /week
This program teaches the basic skills of diving in a fun oriented manner. Once these basic skills are initiated, diving can be one of the most fun and safe activities a child or adult can take part in. It is a true sport for life. Most children enter our club through this program.
Adult Learn to Dive (age 16+)
45 minutes x 1 session /week
Our Adult Learn-to-Dive program provides a welcoming and supportive environment for beginners. Participants learn the fundamentals of diving, including body positions, safe entries, and takeoffs, with an emphasis on proper technique and safety. No previous experience is required, and adults have the opportunity to build confidence and progress to more advanced skills over time.
Pre-competitive Diving (Age 11-adult)
120 minutes x 1 session /week
This program is a progression from Learn-to-Dive aimed to provide further acquisition of basic diving skills. Divers will continue to improve the skills they already possess and add new skills to their repertoire. The pace of learning happens according to the needs and abilities of each individual child.
